I purchased this beautiful Austin Scarlett (Project Runway Season 1) gown in NYC at Gabriela Bridal Salon in 2016 for my October 2016 Manhattan wedding. We had a full Catholic Mass followed by a formal luncheon. It was worn for both events and photos in Central Park afterwards, but no heavy dancing or sweating was done in this gown as I changed for our after party. The gown was appropriate for our daytime, but black-tie formal affair and is very versatile. You can dress it up or down and make it as traditional or as modern and funky as suits your day!
The gown is a natural ivory silk faille. It's a heavy, sturdy fabric that does wrinkle easily, but that is just the nature of the thick fabric. The ruffles and crumb-catcher neckline make this a-line gown very modern and fashionably chic. It has a chapel train for that extra "oomph" especially with the full length ruffles. It is fully boned/corsetted. There are no embellishments on the gown other than the ruffles.
There is a small 1/4" snag at the bottom of the hem where I must've stepped on my gown (or my husband!)... it is not noticeable at all unless you are looking for it. There is a photo of that with my thumbnail next to it for scale. It really is very tiny.
